Policy
We are governed by The Scout Association’s (TSA’s) Safety policy which can be found in POR 2.6. (see here for details).
Our Response
We wholly support the policy by:
- Having measures in place to meet the requirements.
- Appropriately training our volunteers in risk management and first aid.
- Providing risk assessments for inspection (see here).
- Providing an incident reporting mechanism.
Incident Reporting
Scouts programmes are not risk-free. We endeavour to manage these risks to wellbeing and safety to be as low as is reasonably practicable. Should a safety incident occur (actual or near miss), or an injury has been sustained, we need to know about it as soon as possible. Please email your Section Team Leader to let them know you need to report an incident.
