Scouts move on to Explorers, a go-getting group of young people aged 14 to 18. They gather in from local groups into Units to try new things, make new friends and conquer the small task of changing the world. Our local unit is Amazon ESU based at Latham Hall, just across the road. Being an Explorer is all about discovering the world and making the most of what’s available.
Explorer Scouts are encouraged to lead themselves in deciding the programme and direction of the Unit, with support and guidance from leaders. The section also includes the Young Leaders’ Scheme, where young people are able to take on a leadership role in one of the younger sections.
